Paris Noir


A man by the name of Miles Marshall Lewis writes a column for popmatters called "Paris Noir." It is honestly one of the few columns I make a point to read on a regular basis in which he discusses many of the culture points while being an african-american living in Paris. If you feel like reading a little bit out of the box today - maybe you should head over and check out his latest article based on this
"A visual hiphop artist, Basquiat rolled hiphop style by liberally sampling African-American icons, comic book superheroes, and cultural totems at will."

thanks for linking me to paris noir! i was able to catch the archives of miles marshall lewis's column; his take on black paris from the perspective of a hardcore hiphop generationer is real unique and the writing is good. might check out his book, "scars..."
